Letters, notes, newspaper clippings, speeches and photographic prints focus on Wainwright's family and her involvement in environmental policies. Correspondence, clippings, photoprints, articles and files reflect Brookfield's interest as a Florida Keys lodge host, writer, environmentalist, fisherman, marine archaeology enthusiast, treasure hunter, and real estate investor. Correspondence includes letters on the early efforts of the Audubon Society to secure a portion of the James Deering estate as an Audubon bird sanctuary. Photographic prints are of the Bahamas, Elliott Key, and Florida, and date from the 1930s-1980s; most are identified.  Also included is a typed transcript of TMS Winchester's 1694 log book and the Captains log of the Dunkirk.

Oral interviews of Brookfield conducted by Randy Nimnicht, Love Dean and Judy and John Halas.

Research, including photographic prints and negatives, on Dade County and South Florida, particularly: Miami River, Dade County Schools, South Florida archaeology, Tropical Audubon Society, Arch Creek and local designation reports and National Register nominations.

Arch Creek papers Include applications to the National Register of Historic Places Inventory; for a Dade County Historic Site designation; and for a state archaeological site listing. Also includes photocopies of reports by Robert Carr and Dan D. Laxson. A substantial though unsorted collection of editorials, news articles and other writings document several attempts to save the property for public use; the establishment of a park and museum, and efforts to restore the area's native vegetation.
