The Jaudon papers contain a large amount of business correspondence and some personal correspondence. Within the files are business brochures, financial papers, and newspaper clippings. See Biographical Note for summaries of Jaudon’s projects, all of which are represented in the papers.

Five letters and four copies relating to the sale of land and the expansion of Snapper Creek Canal for drainage. Jaudon correspondents include Thomas F. West, Attorney General, and F.C. Elliott, Chief Drainage Engineer.

The collection comprises architectural drawings, photographs and papers pertaining to Manley’s career. The drawings are working plans for her later designs; earlier drawings were destroyed by the architect when she moved from her Coconut Grove office. Clients for whom buildings were designed include Betsy and Denman Fink, Melville Bell Grosvenor, Sengra (developer of Miami Lakes), University of Miami, Philip Wylie, and Herbert S. Zim.

The papers include some correspondence, photographs, and newspaper clippings. The photographs are primarily of the houses she designed or refurbished. Two albums contain photographs of renderings of proposed buildings and aerial images of the University of Miami.

Includes views of Miami Beach and Miami residences (Birdcage house), Miami Beach hotels (Shelbourne, Albion, etc.), Havana hotels (Havana Biltmore, Havana Riviera), automotive businesses (car dealerships, gas stations, General Tires), retail shops (jewelry and shoe stores), offices (Kislak Mortgage, etc.), and other businesses (Arthur Murray, restaurants).

A substantial portion of the records trace the early development of the agency through the correspondence that Dolores Gamble maintained with local agencies, blind clients and students, government officials and private individuals. Additional files document her involvement with music associations for the blind during the 1970s. Other folders contain the agency’s fund raising activities, media relations, reports and surveys, financial documents, annual reports, newsletters, photographic prints, scrapbooks and newspaper clippings.

Tim Chapman Collection - 1968-2012

The Tim Chapman collection consists of photographs and related materials shot or collected by photojournalist Tim Chapman during the second half of the twentieth century. While most materials pertain to people, places, and events in the Miami area, Latin American and world events are also represented.

The collection includes his professional work as a photojournalist as well as his photography for personal interest. Photographic media include 35mm negatives and slides (mainly black-and-white), photographic prints, and born-digital, color images. Supporting material includes newspaper and magazine articles containing illustrations by Chapman.

Photography pertaining to people, places, and events in the Miami area includes crime scenes; politics; the Mariel boatlift; the upheaval of the 1980s, including the Cocaine Cowboys; and Hurricane Andrew. The shots also include images of ordinary and famous people.

During 2013, Chapman filled a series of notebooks with handwritten notes identifying the most significant images. Entries are chronological, to coincide with the arrangement of the collection.

Photographs by Barbara G. Schindler of people and places in Miami-Dade County. The bulk of the images are of Miami's ethnic neighborhoods, including Little Haiti, Little Havana and the Jewish enclave on South Beach. Views show advertising signs, exteriors and interiors of houses and hotels, lawn ornaments, objects associated with Santeria and Voudou, store fronts, street scenes and restaurants. Other views show the Coconut Grove Cemetery, farm laborers in South Dade, and personalities including Eli Weisel, Senator Bob Graham and Janet Reno.

Letters and notes to Marjory Stoneman Douglas are mostly from William C. Sturtevant, Curator of the Department of Anthropology at the Smithsonian Institution. Contains research notes on Britton Hammon and plans to reprint Hammon's narrative, "Notes on The Uncommon sufferings of a Negro man in Florida and Cuba, 1747-1760. Also included is a hand written manuscript by Douglas for an article entitled, "Green," that was published in the Village Post.

Collection mostly represents the Miami area schools that the collector attended. The bulk of the materials are from Miami Senior High School and include: diplomas, commencement programs, student newspapers and football programs, yearbooks. Class reunion item include: programs, directories, slide views and video presentation from reunion events. A few items are from Kinlock Park Junior High School and Dade County Junior College.

Other items include: bound photocopies of yearbooks from Ada Merritt Jr. High, Shenandoah Jr. High and West Miami Jr. High School, an a photograph of Robert F. Kennedy at an event at a hotel  on Miami Beach.
