Boxes 6-9 contain Dr. William W. McKibben's manuscript autobiography, The Arkansas Traveler. His manuscript concentrates on his early years, including life in Arkansas, guarding Belle Starr while on her way to prison, crewing on a cattle ship, attending Harvard medical school, serving as a doctor in Europe, and moving to Coral Gables. He lived to 93 years, and died in 1967.
Waters retained records from 1927 through 1937 while he was president of the Greater Miami Airport Association. Also included are the files maintained while he was General Chairman of the Miami All American Air Maneuvers from the late 1920s through the early 1940s. The files consist of correspondence and plans pertaining to the air races, and to Mr. Waters's attempts to bring an air base to Dade County.
Military views include Dinner Key, Marine training field, and aviators during or just after World War I; airplane wrecks; naval ships and sailors; and victory parade. Civilian aeronautical views include Pan Am, Eastern, air mail flights, air shows, flying boats, and airships. About 350 views.
