The bulk of the collection contains postcards of street scenes, hotels, local attractions and Seminole Indians in Miami-Dade County. Also includes a group of photographs of the 1926 hurricane, tourists at Musa Isle and a family standing in front of the Goodyear Blimp. Many of the postcards include handwritten greetings written between the 1900s up through the 1960s.

Manuscript and printed maps collected by Johnson H. Pace, of subdivisions, mainly in Miami-Dade County (Fla.) including Coral Gables, Shenandoah, Silver Bluff, Miami Springs, and others. Consists of original drawings, blueprints, blue-lines, and so on. Many of the maps are annotated in pencil.

One folder contains architectural plans of buildings in downtown Miami.

A fifth, clam-shell box contains hand-written, itemized descriptions of the maps, written on index cards and loose leaf paper.

Correspondence, pamphlets, photographic prints and clippings document Charles Deering's interest in plant introduction, research and cultivation at his two Dade County estates. Included are letters and notes from John Kunkel Small, noted botanist and authority on the flora of the southeastern states; material on the building of the Cutler dwelling, with letters from its architect, Phineas Paist; and a folder of pamphlets issued by National Audubon Society, chiefly dated 1912-1916.

Scrapbooks of the Buena Vista estate and Japanese life and customs, 1900-circa 1909. Folder of preconstruction sketches for the Deering estate on Biscayne Bay north of Miami, and a turn-of-the-century photograph album on Japan. Buena Vista materials include two floor plans headed: Preliminary studies of house for Mr. Charles Deering, Miami, Fla. ; a photographic print of a building model; and eight watercolor sketches of different rooms, elevations, etc., signed by the architect Clinton MacKenzie of New York City. The Japanese album consists of a series of hand colored phographic prints showing traditional Japanese artisans, farmers and street scenes. They are numbered in Japanese and appear to have been commercially produced.

Included are Arch Creek, Homestead and Perrine. The surveys were undertaken by the Biscayne Engineering Company and the Everglades Engineering Company.

Clippings, correspondence, brochures, typescripts, invitations and other memorabilia trace the career of Lieutenant Colonel Earl Hoag and with it much early history of American aviation. Includes Miami High School student yearbook (Miahi 1914); a wealth of aviation clippings for 1917-1921; with much information on the 1919 transcontinental air race during which 10 out of 39 pilots were killed.

Simpson, and one of real postcards of Miami and Miami Beach by various photographers.

The collection consists of 65 drawings of piers, arches, reinforced concrete rods, and other details such as arch openings and pier abutments. The Long Key - Conch Key Viaduct drawings date from 1905 and 1906, the years of its construction. Also included are drawings of other sections of the Key West Extension.

Photographic prints, clippings, brochures, wedding, birth and death announcements, postcards, menus and programs trace professional and political interests as well as family matters. Also included: Dr. William McKibben's autobiography; Erling Ayars' account of the 1928 hurricane assistance provided by his American Legion post; poetry by Olive "Polly" Beatrice McKibben  and memorabilia from South Florida places and events: Orange Bowl, Miss Harris' School, University of Miami, Coral Gables Garden Club and others.

Collection includes correspondence, ephemera, oral history interviews and photographs pertaining to Roxcy O'Neal lifelong engagement as a community activist in Miami-Dade County.

Of note are two letters: One, from Florida Attorney General, Robert L. Shevin to Bolton explains the newly enacted legislation pertaining to the crime of rape in Florida. Shevin noted that the new law was based on Bolton's recommendations and represents a substantial modification to the crime of rape. The other, from Bolton to the Playboy Plaza Hotel in Miami Beach takes the hotel to task for its treatment of women.

Structures represented in these drawings were built in Belle Isle, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Ft. Lauderdale, Homestead, Key Largo, Miami, Miami Beach, Miami Shores, and Star Island.
