Photographs of Miami Beach lifeguards at practice, beach and poolside scenes at the Roney Plaza Hotel, Pancoast Lake, the Surf Club, and waterfront scenes in Key West. Most of the photographs show Forrest Lee Retray's fellow lifeguard and mentor, A. Lloyd Milewski, at work and play. Also included is a scrapbook with clippings of Milewski and the Miami Beach Patrol, and a press release from the newly opened Fontainebleau Hotel.

Brickell and Bulmer Apartments: receipts from Miami firms for the construction, insurance, furnishings and services for the Bulmer and Brickell Apartments mostly date between 1918-1919. Also included are statements from Miss Harris' School for school fees for the Brickell children.

Many of the clippings report on notable visitors. Others relate to gambling at the Royal Palm Club in the late 1930s and to strategies to develop tourism.

Yearbooks, student register, clippings, prints and other memorabilia follow the history of a long time Miami private school. Includes copies of The Frond (yearbook) from 1929-1957 (missing 1943). Card file trays with 4X6" cards list students from 1916 on; information includes enrollment dates, addresses, and occasionally family information, colleges attended, marriages and children. Two of the scrapbooks have clippings about school or graduates' activities: others have photographic prints, not usually dated or labelled; one green scrapbook has dated (1957-1961) photoprints, and appears to show the school after it moved from Miami to Palm City.

The Fisher papers document Carl Graham Fisher's contributions to activities that greatly influenced American life in the 20th century, namely urban development, automotive transportation, publicity, and sports. The collection's greatest strength is the almost day-to-day picture it draws of the building of Miami Beach from a wilderness into a world-famous resort city (1912-1926). The papers also include materials pertaining to the development of Montauk (Long Island, New York).

The collection consists mainly of business and personal correspondence. The papers include clippings, photographs, legal documents, financial reports and statements, memoranda, telegrams, pamphlets and brochures, blueprints, and patents.
