Magazines, letters, photocopies, postcards, photographs (prints), a book and other memorabilia document the activities of two pioneer families who played a major role in the Jewish communities of Key West and Miami. Includes an unsigned typescript letter from Theodore Roosevelt, several photographs of turn of the century stores in Key West and Miami, material on the congregations of Rodeph Sholom in Key West and Beth David in Miami (first called B'Nai Zion), and photographs of Cuban leaders of the late 1800s, including Jose Marti.

Personal papers and scrapbooks include clippings and memorabilia related to numerous civic and World War II home front projects such as the American Red Cross Camp and Hospital Service, the American Legion, Veterans Hospital and  the Boy Scouts. Except for some brochures and photographs of the San Carlos, there are no documents pertaining to his business enterprises.

A framed handwritten poem, "The Gift Outright," dedicated to the Newtons, is the centerpiece of this small and lovingly assembled collection celebrating the works and life of Robert Frost, and his connection with Florida over the many winters he spent in Key West. Includes several of his privately printed poems (some of which are inscribed or signed), signed copies of his collected poems, correspondence (chiefly from his friend Kathleen Morrison to Miss Jessie regarding Frost), photographs and guest books. Other materials include newspaper clippings, first day covers, programs, and other ephemera pertaining to Frost.

Research materials pertaining to the history of the Florida Keys and the construction of the Florida East Coast Railway. Documents include letters from Key West pioneers, maps, engineers' notes, newspaper clippings, 35mm slides, photographs, cassette tapes, VHS tapes and copies of maps, blueprints and 1950s postcards.

Original materials include 35mm slides, handwritten notes and interviews with Marathon pioneers.
