Biographical history

George du Manoir, was both a member and chronicler of the smart set in Miami Beach. His witty and sometimes acidic commentaries, probably privately printed for a select audience, followed the lives of celebrities, industrialists, socialites and hangers-on who were residents or winter visitors on the island. Gar Wood, Jane Fisher, Robert and Evelyn Gifford, Sir Winston Churchill and his wife, Clementine, are among those mentioned.
