Photographs of Miami Beach lifeguards at practice, beach and poolside scenes at the Roney Plaza Hotel, Pancoast Lake, the Surf Club, and waterfront scenes in Key West. Most of the photographs show Forrest Lee Retray's fellow lifeguard and mentor, A. Lloyd Milewski, at work and play. Also included is a scrapbook with clippings of Milewski and the Miami Beach Patrol, and a press release from the newly opened Fontainebleau Hotel.

Of note is the 1953-1954 roster for the Northwest Miami Junior Chamber of Commerce (formerly known as the Miami Negro Junior Chamber of Commerce) and information on two projects that were funded by the group: the construction of a therapeutic swimming pool for children with disabilities and the Miss Miami Beach Beauty Contest. The bulk of the photographs show the pool during construction and in use.

Certificate awarded to David Mesnekoff at the 50th Metropolitian South Florida Fishing Tournament in recognition of releasing two sailfish in the 12 pound division. Certificate is a reproduction of a watercolor painting by Miami artist Phil Capen. Entitled "The Beginning," it depicts the old Pier 5 charterboat dock.

35mm color slides, shot by Masud and Najib Quraishy, of late-twentieth century Miami-Dade County landscapes. About half of the views show damage in South Dade from Hurricane Andrew. Chiefly documentation of the devastation of Hurricane Andrew to residential, commercial and recreation properties in 1992 comprises the bulk of the collection. The rest consists of images of Miami’s waterfront, scenic shots from around the county, freeze damage to farms, Stiltsville, area attractions, the nuclear reactor at Turkey Point and the 100th birthday party in honor of Marjory Stoneman Douglas in 1995. A few large format transparencies and photographs are included.

The collection comprises architectural drawings, photographs and papers pertaining to Manley’s career. The drawings are working plans for her later designs; earlier drawings were destroyed by the architect when she moved from her Coconut Grove office. Clients for whom buildings were designed include Betsy and Denman Fink, Melville Bell Grosvenor, Sengra (developer of Miami Lakes), University of Miami, Philip Wylie, and Herbert S. Zim.

The papers include some correspondence, photographs, and newspaper clippings. The photographs are primarily of the houses she designed or refurbished. Two albums contain photographs of renderings of proposed buildings and aerial images of the University of Miami.

The bulk of the collection are from performances at major Miami-Dade and Broward County venues, including: Actor's Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, Bailey Concert Hall, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Coconut Grove Playhouse, Dade County Auditorium, Jackie Gleason Theatre, Maurice Gusman Cultural Center, Miami City Ballet, Miami Film Festival, Parker Playhouse, and Studio M Playhouse. Also includes programs for Miami City Ballet performances and University of Miami productions from the School of Music and the Department of Theatre Arts.
