Accession number: 1984-001

1.4 cubic feet (6,677 images in 241 groups).

Groups 1 through 189 are of portraits taken for the weekly Miami News series, Our Sunday Portrait, mainly by Alice Bixler.

Groups 190 through 242 comprise various negatives of members of the Florida Dairy Council; famous people, especially when visiting Dade County; and World War II army activities in Florida, 1941-1943.

The negatives range in size from 35mm to 4x5 inches. Reference prints have not been made for this collection.

Arranged numerically by accession and negative number. The third part of the accession number gives the group number and the number of images in that group. For example, 1984-1-1/1-33 means that group 1 contains 33 views. Our Sunday Portrait negatives are also arranged alphabetically by surname of subject. Other negatives are in the order in which they were received.
