Biografie
The Drake Lumber Company ran a sawmill at Princeton (Fla.) from 1904 to 1923. (Owner Gaston Drake named Princeton for his alma mater.) The mill moved to Palm Beach County in 1923, when Slash Pine had been cleared from much of South Dade. The company continued to operate a lumber yard in Miami, and dissolved in 1939

Photographs and negatives of the Drake Lumber Company show buildings, equipment, logging operations and mill workers. Also included are images of the Gaston Drake family. Includes five index pages with hand written descrptions.
