Administrative history

The Shenandoah Garden Club was organized in 1927 by a group of neighborhood women to provide the Shenandoah community with a garden club.
In addition to ornamental horticultural projects, the club was involved in the protection and promotion of native plants, early landscape beautification of the City of Miami and environmental issues.
In 2014, after the retirement of the last president, Joan Murasaki, the members voted to close the club.
